Consolidating Youth Power

In Uganda, young people are often mischaracterized as instigators of violence, but many are using nonviolent strategies to demand justice and resist oppression. Despite efforts by the regime to co-opt youth leaders, a resilient movement of young activists continues to rise, advocating for nonviolence and social justice.

Solidarity Uganda plays a pivotal role in empowering these youth, providing them with the skills and knowledge to lead movements. We aim to further this through the EMPOWER360 Young People’s Fellowship, where mentorship, collective action, and the principles of Civil and Nonviolent Resistance are nurtured and expanded.
