Climate Justice and Environmental conservation

Uganda’s once predictable tropical climate is being reshaped by the devastating effects of climate change. Erratic rainfall, prolonged droughts, and severe weather conditions are becoming the norm, particularly affecting the eastern and north-eastern regions. These changes are compounded by deforestation, rapid population growth, illegal wildlife trafficking, and large-scale oil exploration in the Albertine Rift Valley.

At Solidarity Uganda, we recognize the urgent need for collective action. While we’ve worked to address these issues in areas like Barifa, Kalinzu, Bugoma, and Matiri forests, it’s time to scale our efforts. Through unified, sustainable interventions, we aim to tackle climate change head-on, securing a resilient and just future for Uganda and the world.
